This is truly "blue-eyed Cajun Soul music!" It all started in the mid-fifties in Mama Ardoin's kitchen in Eunice, Louisiana with teenage musicians getting together to "jam." Young Doug Ardoin had the idea that Rhythm & Blues could be played in a carefully arranged, soul-filled manner, and, with practice and dedication these young men could make a dent in the music scene. The Boogie Kings went on to capture the hearts of audiences throughout Southern Louisiana. Over the years, musicians came & went as they grew and spread from coast to coast. Duane Yates, Gee Gee Shin, Bert Miller, Tony Goulas, Ned Theall, Jon Smith, Dan Silas, Mike Pollard, Jim Drouet, Pat Smith, Tony Ardoin, Bubba Boudreaux, Errol Girard, Don Trahan make up the Boogie Kings in this live 1990 performance.
